Simon Cowell Swears He Isn’t Engaged

Last week, Mezghan Hussainy, Simon Cowell’s girlfriend, stirred up the rumor mill by wearing a suspiciously engagement-looking ring. Immediately, everyone started saying that they were engaged, and that Simon popped the question on Valentine’s Day. Three days ago, Max Clifford, Simon’s long time friend and publicist, released this statement to the press:

“I spoke to Simon in London yesterday afternoon, just before he took his flight back to LA. I asked him: ‘Look, are you engaged? Is it true?,’ and he said, ‘No! No. I’m not engaged,'”
