Fall Out Boy Priced Out of Boca?
It’s being reported that Fall Out Boy has had to move their April 21st show from Boca Raton’s Mizner Park due to “security concerns” and “known disturbances associated with one of the [tour’s] bands, Fall Out Boy.” The show, scheduled for will go on, but has been moved to the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.
The band’s management issued a statement in which manager Bob McLyn said that the town did offer a compromise, offering an extraordinary amount of money in extra costs, but the band decided to change venues instead. Boca Raton’s Assistant Police Chief Edgar Morley said that the city “had to be proactive, simply because it makes sense. You can’t say ‘Nothing’s gonna happen’ and then something happens.”
Actually, Eddie, that doesn’t make much sense at all. With that attitude, nothing would ever take place in the city of Boca Raton! No concerts, no fairs and NO BINGO NIGHTS! You never know what might happen at one of those shindigs. I hear the blue-haired old ladies can get rowdy if a false bingo is called.
Should I be the first to start a Boycott Boca group? It seems as though each person I meet/talk to/hear about from Boca Raton is more ridiculous than the next!
