It wasn’t Scarlett Johansson’s gorgeous maroon lace Dolce & Gabbana evening gown that had people talking last night at the Oscars…

…it was the handsome date she brought down the red carpet!  After brief speculation it was revealed that the mystery man at her side was Hollywood agent Joe Machota.

Scarlett, who has reportedly said the two are just friends, later seemed to take the lead as she walked arm-in-arm with Joe as they arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in LA.
